Garba in Warli Art
This is a fusion that of traditional Gujarati Garba festival in Maharashtrian Warli Art form. The central motif is the Garbho or the decorative pot representing Goddess Amba (Durga) with devotees dancing in circle around it while the rest of the community watches on - children, elders and others. Giving it an earthy appearance is acrylic burnt sienna colour and the white motifs hand painted tediously with paint brush.
